I'm Kaylee Gibb. I'm 33 years old and a mother of 3. I met the mountains when I was 17 and fell in love. I got a taste of what mountain biking was in my mid 20's, but ended up getting married, and life hit hard. We had to work hard to make a life for ourselves and then started our beautiful family. I continued to dabble with the dance on my bike in-between kids but never got to fully train and dial in the skillz that it takes to be a true freerider...that was until we moved to Whistler last fall and the ball started rolling. My hubby green lit, 'full boar mode'. At my tender age, with about 8 weeks of training, and the full support of my family, I managed to take my first backflip to dirt on my big bike, on natural terrain, out in Virgin, Utah. I know this is only the tip of the iceberg of my potential. This year will be amazing.
With the support of some amazing sponsors, I know I can broaden the spectrum of what female riders were once thought capable of. With so doing, join the ranks with some of the great female riders already in the sport.
What I Bring
When I choose my forever partner...I choose a good one...the one and only,Ryan Gibb. He was one of the creative geniuses for the movie, "Life Cycles." Together with TGR (Teton Gravity Research) he is going to blow up the sports filming industry with yet another mind boggling, salad tossing, history making movie. It will be another creative anomaly that I will get to be a part of this time. There is an artistic section crafted after my situation where I will be racing time. It will showcase epic scenery, dynamic camera work, and big hits. I'm super focused on making my section unique and outstanding. In order to keep me pushing boundaries and learning new tricks, I purchased an airbag to assist me in accomplishing these goals where ever we go and will train year round.
When it comes to representing a certain brand, organizing a group, being a front runner, or standing up and speaking in public, I'm the one for the job. It was just the way I was created. If it was debate team, youngest student body president, speech competition, or setting up and organizing huge local fundraisers, I was the one who volunteered for the job. Public speaking has always come naturally to me. My parents always taught me that if you wanted something then you needed to work for it. My favorite quote is, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." I'm ready to represent hard work. I would love to represent genuine companies with solid gear and good values.
